October 17 to November 6, Professor Michael Meyer, the director of the Wig and Make up Department of Design & Production at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, participated in the new project “Materials and Technology Application Base of Chinese Special Effects Makeup“, which was launched by the Department of Stage Design of the Central Academy of Drama. At the same time, he did three weeks demonstration teaching there. The whole staff team of the Department of Stage Design, including Professor Xiaohong Wang, Professor Dan Tian, Manhong Liu and Xiaohong Sun has observed Michael’s teaching demonstration, achieved new improvements.
By report, Professor Michael accepted the invitation of the Department of Stage Design of the Central Academy of Drama to be the design consultant of their special affects makeup classroom of the upcoming teaching building. He will bring advanced international equipment and materials, helping the academy to build an international leading level on professional teaching as well as facility.
