Co-organized by Wuhan Education Bureau, Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) and International Education Alliance for Creative Industries (IEACI), the 2015 British creative summer tour for cultural & creative students from Wuhan municipal colleges & universities set off from Beijing to England last Sunday. The creative summer tour of 25 cultural & creative students from Wuhan will have an unforgettable three-week trip in Bournemouth, British, which includes a two-week trip of cultural & creative courses, art & design workshops at AUB, visit of British museums, galleries & world cultural heritage, and a one-week trip of visit and project internship at local British cultural & creative enterprises.

AUB is located midway between Bournemouth and Poole, the most beautiful south coast of British. Its professional art, design, media and performing art courses, friendly and convenient campus and facilities, the vibrant creative school community of 4000 students from more than 60 different countries, and its particular on campus school-enterprise cooperation all make AUB the student vote number one British creative university in Which University Guide 2012 and rank first in the list of British creative universities in the Sunday Times ‘Good University Guide’ 2014, winning the unanimous praise from both the industries and students.

This year, as IEACI’s institutional member, AUB further deepens the cooperation with IEACI. The 2015 British creative summer tour is a representation of our further cooperation. In addition, leaded by IEACI, a group of Chinese art university teachers will also visit AUB this summer, discussing with AUB the possibilities of further exchange and cooperation between British and Chinese art institutions.

The members of the 2015 British creative summer tour are from the four Wuhan municipal cultural & creative institutions, supported greatly by Wuhan Education Bureau, AUB and IEACI. The tour members will have an in-depth experience of British cultural & creative education at AUB and enjoy the rich British cultural & creative atmosphere at the local museums, galleries as well as the enterprises. For this tour, AUB specially arranges the tour members to visit the top-ranking British cultural & creative enterprises, such as FRAMESTORE. Students can visit and learn and even participate in a project there. It is believed that the creative summer tour will definitely make the students as well as the Chinese institutions involved draw nutrition from the world class British creative university and the British cultural & creative enterprises as well. They will gain new understanding, inspiration and progress about art, design and creativity.
