The annual event of IEACI, the fourth China International Education Fair on Cultural Creative Industries (CIEFCCI) 2014, also known as “ Creative Sharing Week ” (CSW) has dropped the curtain. This Forum gathered more than hundred volunteers from six different universities in Hangzhou, China, and attracted hundreds of thousands participants who working in the cultural & creative industries from Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Kunming. It has received positive responses from various fields. Loads of news media, including Qianjiang Evening News, China daily, Sina, and China Art Weekly, has reported and interviewed this event.
Various activities
During the “ Creative Sharing Week ” (CSW), distinct activities have been arranged everyday. Each of them showed their own characteristic. Audience can participate in activities which they are interested in and be inspired from the distinguished speeches and workshops..
“ Say No to Haze” a cross country exhibition organized by IEACI, Creative Designer Salon of China & Zhejiang Daily Press Group together.
“The 1st Touring Exhibition for Public Posters about Haze” was launched by 13 Chinese design organizations at the beginning of this year. They collected posters of Haze theme from Chinese designers & artists. They were hoping these posters could represent the voice of the public. 295 posters have been chosen from 3,500 for the exhibition by 9 international juries. During the CSW, Zhejiang Science and Technology Museum exhibited more than 150 brilliant posters.
“Haze, Run!” a Flash-mob by sudents in group
Inspired by the “Say No to Haze” Exhibition, students from Chinese Young Volunteers Association of Zhejiang Gongshang University, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Zhejiang University of Finance & Economics, and Hangzhou Normal University co-organized a flash mob about haze, which attracted masses.
“MINDSTORM NIGHT” a crossover conversation between Science & Design
10 well-known guest speakers from different backgrounds assembled in a stage having a brainstorming session, mainly on how did technology innovation, design thinking, creative works change our thoughts and life style. Loads of brilliant ideas and wonderful experiences have been burst out and shared by them to the audience in that excited night.
“International Creative Education Mini Forum” a public forum
As one of the most important parts of the CSW 2014“International Creative Education Mini Forum” has achieved a big success this year. Delegates from Campus France, Prep’art Paris, New York Film Academy, University of the Arts London, Birmingham Institute of Art and Design, etc. not only gave splendid lectures, but also did free portfolio review for students and parents who come with their own portfolio. Except that, in the forum, the chief representative of Greater China of IEACI, Mr. BAO Jie has announced that China Portfolio Day officially landed in China.
